My lovely lemon tree!
Last year my lemon plant gave me a single delicious lemon, so I was super excited and tentative when it made five lemons all in one go! I wasn't even sure that a plant in a pot could sustain so much fruit, but luckily I have both supermarket fertiliser and my special supply of pigeon-poop-water, lovingly provided by my pigeons, which I'm sure is the secret ingredient!
I've had to fight mealybugs the whole time, I think they've taken hold even though I don't see them very often - but when I do, they go squish! One of the lemons developed a defect in the super early stages of growth, so I knew to expect at least one imperfect lemon, but to be honest, it wasn't as bad as I thought! I only picked two for now, since they can stay on the tree for a bit.
I think this time they were more sour than last time? But still delicious! I love that I've gotten 6 lemons from my tree so far, I'm hoping this will be an annual thing, but I'm not the best with plants so we'll see!
New computer, table, and accessories coming along nicely!
Finally, a super powered computer! And here's me giving terrarium making a go after not having made any since living in Adelaide.
I'd found an elkhorn fern, but then later i found a bigger one for cheaper so now I have two?! And I wanted a ferny-fern and it was the perfect time to bring out an old jar I'd kept. I underestimated the size of the fern so it's too big for the jar, but it still looks good!
I really am going to become a crazy plant lady...

I hope the elephant ear plant is okay, I only bought it a couple of weeks ago and it's dropping leaves faster than it's sprouting them. I attribute it to transplant shock, so we'll see if it recovers.
My ZZ plant is really not doing well though. One of the two stems is dead, so I figure if it's diseased, the second one is also dead. If they don't do anything I might need to just count it as a loss and start again (with a more developed plant; I deliberately bought the baby version but now I'm thinking it wasn't such a good idea, and right now the shops have bigger ones).
Good news is, the lemon plant I bought dropped its first set of baby leaves, but now it's growing more leaves, so I think it's recovered from transplant shock and also now it's used to the windy and sunny conditions on my balcony :D
