How to start a drawing, and attempting to troll
I've thought about drawing a troll for a long time but I never really knew how to approach it. For me, I wanted to channel "elves are descended from trolls" and also thinking about what I think Arareth looks like, but I've never been a good visualiser. Luckily I have WoW trolls for reference... if only I could make it work.
Maybe one day!
Quick study
He was wearing this jumper the other day, how could I not? I had this saved as a pic I wanted to study. But ugh it's so hard. I didn't class it as a speed sketch and didn't time it, it came out poorer than I expected. BUT I MUST POST MY FAILURES AND MY SUCCESSES.
Cloudscape/The Magician's Apprentice
I coloured my dragon, yay!
And then I tried drawing the 12th Doctor and omg it was ok and then it was horrible, because I got the lines wrong. The hairline is all off and just uuuugh I still like my very first digital colouring the best and every other one has gone downhill from there. I guess I should just practice more and more and more....
Dragon
It's been a long while since I last drew dragons. But I just finished Assassin's Fate and I love it! I have missed the Fool! The Fool is so cool! At first, when Fitz and the Fool came out as a series I was concerned because I liked the ending of the Tawny Man series as it was - I was afraid that an extra series might not be as satisfying. The fear of the anticlimactic end.
But wow.
Wow.
She knew. She must have known - the ending could never have been anything else; of course it would happen the way it did. And it's so fitting, and I'm so happy! I think I need to read all of the Fool books again, and in order. That journey, so epic, so tragic, so wonderful, so happy, so sad, so alive.
